Following is a short sneak peek at an interview I am conducting with a respected performance consultant

===================================

Tell us a bit about who you are?

===================================

Most people know me from internet articles and posts I’ve made over theyears. I was an avid athlete as a teenager and that’s where my love oftraining and all things related to it started. My parents owned agymnastics and martial arts facility when I was a teen and that’s whereI got my start in coaching. Been doing it in some capacity ever since.I started a website when I was around 30, about 6 years ago, and havedeveloped quite a following over the years.

============================================

Could you outline your training philosophy?

============================================

I try to take the science and make it comprehensible for people. Anyimprovements in athletic based movement are really about forcegeneration and applying force efficiently. Translated in english it’sreally how efficiently you move and how much horsepower you produce. Ifind classifying things that way is a heckuva lot simpler and hasslefree then trying to classify and apply every known strength andmovement quality under the sun like starting strength, accelerationstrength, rate of force development, explosive strength, reactivestrength, relative strength, absolute strength, power etc. My protocolsare designed to boost those factors, as efficiently and guesswork freeas possible.

Please discuss your approach to vertical jump training?

———————————————————-

If you want a physiological correct term vertical jump is just ameasurement of the power of the lower body.  Power is really juststrength expressed quickly.  Before the expressed quickly part occursthe strength part has to be there.  Unfortunately, the “expressedquickly” part is mostly genetic and can’t be improved much oncephysical maturity is reached. It determines what percentage of yourmaximum strength you’re able to utilize in a given task and is reallyjust the ability to rapidly turn on muscle motor units. It’s dependenton things like fiber type, density of the nerves, neurotransmitter andhormone receptors, and other things out of our control (mostly). “So ifthe percentage of our strength we can utilize is pre-determined, how dowe get more power?  Simple. Increase either your strength (10% of 200is twice as much as 10% of 100), or the efficiency in which you performthe movement.

Here’s a real world example of that:  Allen Iverson and Joe Average arethe same height, same body dimensions, and same weight.  They go in theweight room and boht squat 150 pounds.  Iverson jumps 35 inches and JoeAverage jumps jumps 18 inches.  Why is this? Well, Iverson geneticallyutilizes a greater percentage of strength than Joe Avg when he jumps.Let’s just say he’s using 90% and Joe Avg. is using 45%.  Two yearslater Joe Average is squatting 315 and jumping 33 inches.   Did hebecome as good as the genetic freak? No, not quite, but at least nowhe’s able to compete with him.

Now, you might be thinking, “Well OK, if the “expressed quickly” partis genetic that really only means all we can do to improve VJ isincrease our strength right? Well that’s more true then not, but WHEREthat strength is and how well it gets transferred are also veryimportant, and THAT is where things get a little more complicated.

How to Actually Jump 8-12 Inches Higher & Become Quicker By Using “Negative Gravity” To Your Advantage…

Everyone wants to jump higher and be quicker.

And why not? Not only can jumping higher & being quicker make you a better athlete – it’s also allows you to dominate your competitors, achieve your goals, win more, and be the athlete crowds cheer for.

The problem is, most ways of training lead to low performance levels and slow gains. This creates a situation where you’re working your butt off to get minimal improvement in your athletic performance.

And that’s if you can even find a half way decent program to train with…

The fact is – it’s getting harder and harder for athletes to get any kind of meaningful performance improvements these days (without using certain substances that is).

But what if there was still a way to legtiimately jump higher…and be quicker… using ‘negative gravity’ to your advantage?

And what if you could do this without having to spend years training like a dog to do so?

In fact – what if you could systematically create jumping and speed gains that could rapidly make you a top performing athlete in only 13 minutes a day?

Is this for real?

YES.

But not with standard training techniques.

It’s happening right now, as we speak, with athletes using ‘negative gravity’ to their advantage.

Now – before you think it – yes, I know… ‘negative gravity’ sounds weird. But, it is pretty dang powerful the way some atheletes are improving their performance.

How does this work?

Listen to the Audio you’ll find here:

Like I said – forget about normal training techniques.

Focus on something that you can actually WIN with, and win big!
